What to Expect During Your Stay

Your adventure with Altitude Junkies begins in Kathmandu, Nepal’s vibrant capital city, where ancient culture meets modern convenience. We generally accommodate our guests at Hotel Tibet, Lazimpat or Hotel Tibet International, Boudha both comfortable, well-established hotels known for their excellent service, cleanliness, and convenient locations.

If you’re staying at Hotel Tibet, Lazimpat, you’ll find a variety of excellent restaurants and cafés within walking distance. Enjoy healthy smoothie bowls, quality coffee shops, local and international restaurants, or dine at the hotel’s own rooftop restaurant with beautiful views of the city. Thamel, Kathmandu’s popular tourist district, is only about a 15-minute walk away, offering trekking shops, restaurants, cafés, bars, and souvenir stores. As Kathmandu’s roads can be busy, we recommend being cautious when crossing streets and always staying aware of traffic.

Guests who have included Kathmandu sightseeing in their itinerary will be accompanied by a private vehicle and a government-certified cultural guide. Your tour will cover some of the Kathmandu Valley’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square, providing an excellent introduction to Nepal’s history, culture, and traditions.

One of Nepal’s greatest attractions is its people. Nepalis are known for their warmth, hospitality, and friendly nature, and you’ll quickly feel welcomed wherever you go.
