Booking Policy & Procedure

Trip Confirmation & Deposits

Your booking is considered confirmed once you receive a confirmation invoice or written confirmation email from Altitude Junkies.

To secure your booking, the following non-refundable deposits are required per person:

• Trekking Programs: USD 500
• 6000m Peak Expeditions: USD 1,000
• 7000m Peak Expeditions: USD 2,000
• 8000m Expeditions: USD 4,000

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 6 weeks prior to the expedition or trek departure date.

For bookings made less than 2 weeks before departure, full payment must be completed within 7 days of receiving confirmation.

Payment Methods

Deposits must be paid via bank/wire transfer.

The remaining balance may be paid through:

• Bank/Wire Transfer
• Cash upon arrival in Kathmandu
• Credit or Debit Card

Please Note:

• A 4.5% surcharge applies to all credit/debit card transactions.
• Our bank accepts Visa and MasterCard only.
• Clients are responsible for all bank transfer fees and charges.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your trip prior to departure, the following cancellation charges will apply:

Deposits are non-refundable.

No refunds will be provided for unused services if a participant voluntarily leaves the trip, chooses not to complete the itinerary, or if itinerary changes occur due to weather, flight delays, illness, government restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Trip Cancellation by Altitude Junkies

Altitude Junkies reserves the right to cancel a trip due to force majeure circumstances, including but not limited to:

• Natural Disasters
• Severe Weather Events
• Political Unrest
• Civil Disturbances
• War or Conflict
• Government Restrictions

In such cases, all payments made directly to Altitude Junkies, including deposits, will be refunded.

Altitude Junkies shall not be responsible for reimbursing additional expenses incurred by the client, including:

• International Flights
• Travel Insurance
• Visa Fees
• Vaccinations
• Equipment Purchases
• Bank Charges
• Other Personal Expenses

Travel & Rescue Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all trekking and expedition participants.

Your insurance policy should provide adequate coverage for:

• High-altitude trekking and mountaineering
• Medical treatment
• Emergency helicopter evacuation
• Search and rescue
• Trip cancellation
• Baggage loss or damage
• Emergency repatriation

If you choose not to obtain travel insurance, you must carry a valid credit card with a minimum available limit of USD 5,000 for emergency situations.

Participant Conduct

All participants must follow the instructions and decisions of the expedition leader, guide, or company representative.

Altitude Junkies reserves the right to terminate a participant’s trip without refund if their behavior is:

• Illegal
• Dangerous
• Threatening
• Abusive
• Disruptive to the group
• Likely to cause distress or harm to others

In such circumstances, Altitude Junkies accepts no liability for additional costs incurred by the participant.

Complaints & Dispute Resolution

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your trip, guide, Sherpa, or company services, please notify us as soon as possible during the trip.

Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 10 days of completing the trip.

Altitude Junkies will make every reasonable effort to resolve disputes amicably. Any disputes shall be governed by the laws of Nepal.

Itinerary Changes

Published itineraries are intended as a guideline and may be adjusted due to circumstances beyond our control, including:

• Weather Conditions
• Flight Delays or Cancellations
• Health and Safety Concerns
• Government Regulations
• Trail or Route Conditions
• Other Unforeseen Events

No refunds will be issued for itinerary modifications or unused services resulting from such circumstances.

Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a booking and making payment to Altitude Junkies, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Booking Terms and Conditions.
