The Route

  • Your journey begins with a scenic helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Chame (2,710 m), bypassing the long road journey and allowing you to begin the trek directly in the heart of the Annapurna region.
  • From Chame, the trail follows the Marsyangdi Valley through forests, waterfalls, dramatic mountain scenery and traditional villages, continuing toward Pisang and Manang. As you gain altitude, the landscape gradually changes from pine forests to the rugged alpine terrain of the upper Manang Valley.
  • We spend time in Manang (3,540 m) for acclimatization, with an opportunity to explore the village and surrounding Himalayan landscape. The area offers spectacular views of Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Gangapurna and Tilicho Peak.
  • From Manang, the trail continues through Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4,450 m) or Thorong High Camp (4,850 m), the final preparation point before crossing the high pass.
  • The highlight of the journey is the crossing of Thorong La Pass (5,416 m), one of the highest trekking passes in Nepal. From the pass, the trail descends steeply toward Muktinath (3,800 m), an important pilgrimage site with spectacular views of the surrounding Mustang landscape.
  • From Muktinath, we continue through Kagbeni, an ancient village at the entrance to Upper Mustang, before following the Kali Gandaki Valley toward Jomsom.
  • From Jomsom (2,720 m), we take a scenic flight to Pokhara, enjoying views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges along the way. From Pokhara, we continue by flight to Kathmandu, completing our Annapurna Circuit journey.
  • Route: Kathmandu → Chame → Pisang → Manang → Yak Kharka → Thorong Phedi / High Camp → Thorong La Pass → Muktinath → Kagbeni → Jomsom → Pokhara → Kathmandu.
